PURPOSE
The purpose of Walk By Faith International, Missionary Church of El Paso Texas as a full-time missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. We will accomplish that by Encountering God by discovering truth through Biblical preaching and God-centered worship; by Experiencing God Together by connecting to a small group where genuine relationships with each other can be built; by Emptying Self by engaging in serving each other, our neighborhood, and the world; by Equipping everyone for service so that each is enabled to contribute to the health and mission of the church through effective use of our spiritual gifts; by Evangelizing our community and our world, by demonstrating and communicating the good news of Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
VISION STATEMENT
“The vision of Walk By Faith International is to work together under the direction of Holy Spirit and the Holy Scripture to produce fully developing disciples and a growing congregation that are passionately committed to loving God and loving people.”
This vision statement is intended to reflect the heart of the ministry at Walk By Faith International. It will become the focus of all ministry efforts at the church and reflect the importance of discipleship and the mission (purpose) of the church.
The next three years is expected to be a critical time period in the life of Walk By Faith International. The potential for growth is unprecedented; society, culture and the city of El Paso are going through rapid changes with concomitant challenges; economic pressures require new strategies never thought possible in the past.
What is Walk By Faith International?
Walk By Faith International, Missionary Church of El Paso Texas as a full-time missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. The primary focus of our presence is to not only bring lost souls to the kingdom of heaven, but also to empower them with the training, the experience, the knowledge necessary to become fisher of men via the church discipleship program to expand the outreach of the church throughout the city of El Paso. To reach this holy goal, we are enlisting the presence of the Holy Spirit first, and then we will make new members servants of the lord to plant more churches in this city.
We are a Bible-centered, Christ-honoring church with practical exposition of Scripture, we emphasize inspiring worship that is not limited to a particular style, with a focus on spirit and truth. We believe in the value of Meeting groups and other small groups for discipleship and community. We will practice a multiple evangelistic strategy, seeking to reach and touch our community.
Therefore, our desire as a local church is to establish and equip every member to their proper dignity as ministers. According to 1 Peter 2:4,9, if you are a believer, you are a priest.
Maybe you see yourself as just a regular, everyday, garden-variety Christian, but God sees you as part of a holy and royal priesthood. The Bible calls you a priest! One of the key Baptist doctrines is “the priesthood of the believer.”
